Health Fund Rebates With HICAPS

If you have private health insurance, your extras plan might include major discounts on massage!

We have been offering instant private health rebates for many years with HICAPS by NAB. This enables you to redeem your private health rebate before you pay for your massage. Simply bring your private health member card along to your appointment.

If you’re looking to use as much value as possible from your private health insurance, then massage is wonderfully beneficial and accessible. At our clinic you’ll be making the most of your health insurance in our relaxing clinic with our experienced remedial massage therapists.

Depending on your private health insurance plan, you could pay much less for your massage with our therapists. Most common rebates vary between 30-70% off the cost of treatment.

The rebate available to you depends entirely on your insurance plan, so we encourage you to find out from your insurer exactly what benefits you can claim.

Please note that the health funds do not provide rebates for relaxation massage. Health funds also only allow rebates for treatments where the person receiving treatment paid.

For any questions about how health fund rebates can help you feel free to call us on 0450 665 422 or email us at doublebaymassage@gmail.com.

Australia’s largest health funds

If you’re one of the 13.6 million Australians with private health cover, you’re likely with one of the large health funds.

  • Bupa covers around 4 million Australians and is the country’s largest health fund by members.
  • Medibank Private covers around 2.8 million Australians.
  • NIB covers around 1.6 million members.
  • HCF is Australia’s largest non-profit fund, meaning all profits go back into providing benefits and services for their 1.5 million members.
  • AHM, run by Medibank Private, covers an additional 700,000 members.

Tip: there is no strictly ‘best’ private health fund, and comparisons can be tricky. If you’re ‘fund shopping’, make a list of extras you’d like to use and compare different extras plans.
